I seen where someone recommended these for tour pack speakers has anyone tried them ? I see they’re 8 ohm how would you wire them to make 4 ohm ? Would they pair well with mmats cx in the fairing

Take ur time with the 4 ohm vs 8 ohm wiring strategy as it can be very good but can also box u in if uncommitted to 8 ohm and want to go back to 4 due different speaker selection.
I only have 2 4 ohm speakers on my sled but if I went back to 4, it a complete do over. Just a completely different utilization of amp channels.

What's ur current setup as is?
Should be a good discussion.
Set up currently is stock head unit stinger spx 700 amp mmats 601 cx in fairing, looking to add something to the tour pack, hoping for something that ll just drop in but sound good with what I have
you would have better luck dropping another set of the 601cx's in the tp. they will sound awsome. i needed a spacer, 1/2 inch i think, but my bike is an 04, the newer pods might work without the spacer, but the Mmats is a much better choice.

I agree that the PA601CX would be a better speaker for the TP, however that speaker needs almost 1" of spacer in the Rushmore pods.
The reason I recommended the Prv in the thread the OP is referring to is, it fits the pod with no modifications and they sound good with 100-125w going to them.
Have these in a friends Limited and they keep up with the fairing. Several guys from the Midwest MnG heard his little 4 speaker setup and it holds its own.

Maybe some will chime in here.
Yep 100% agree they held there own. Very nice set up indeed
