Default Ported Saddlebag

I know our bags give plenty of air for speakers to push, but my question is, would a port allow for a louder speaker. Louder in that it would release sounds that don't pass through the front of the speaker. I may not have worded this right at all, just a question.

It's mostly for subwoofers. You have know exact volume of the saddlebag and speaker T/S parameters to calculate the port length and diameter. Also will be better to build the box inside saddlebags for your speaker. But not all speakers can play good in such a small box. Otherwise it will be just an air leak and no bass at all

Most speakers require a much larger enclosure when ported, than a sealed enclosure. If you have enough airspace than ported is the way to go depending on the speaker.

Put horns in that damn horn holes on the lids before u go down any other roads brother. The lids were designed for them, u purchased the lids with horn holes as the intended plan, thus execute that original plan. Then u will get the loud u speak of.
