I have 13 Roadglide ultra with Aquatic AV head unit and stock speakers. Looking for recommendations on amp and speakers. Not looking to break the bank just need more volume at highway speeds.
As Juice stated, need a budget to go by. Do you have lowers? What type of music? What type of riding, highway or back roads? It all makes a difference on what should be recommended.
Lets say $600. I have lowers but take them off in hot weather so I dont want speakers there. Just two in front and two in passenger pods. I ride both back roads and highways.
I had good luck with the ss pn 4 1000,d amp. It will run about $150. I paired it with Hertz hcx 165s in fairing and MMats 601,4 in my lowers, whole set up at the time cost me around $600 to $700 using bt line levelers for the connections. Not best system out there but sounded good and was plenty loud.
A bit over $600, but a hard to beat combo would be either WDX Moto G2's, and/or MMats 601CX paired with a Stinger SPX700 amp. No BT LL needed with the '13 model, but a better head unit would make for a much better sound.
I have the WDX6 G2s in the fairing, but either them or the Mmats PA 601.cx are a great choice in the fairing. The Mmats also work awesome in the tour pack and/or lowers. Stinger pairs nicely with that set up.
