Yes sir and it’s actually pretty cool to somewhat understand why, it also made me realize how beneficial changing the head unit will be, it’s not just about getting more functions out of a radio blue tooth and such but better output voltage and cleaner signal

How can these 2 contradictory statements come from a article worth reading?

"Turning the gain up higher and higher does not produce higher ‘full-power’ output."

"Gainsettings can be used to limit the amount of power being delivered to within safe operating levels."

No....no......no.

Every audio thread I've read has misinformation.
some straight BS.

Overpowering a speaker Will never blow it.

trying to crank a 150 watt rms speaker with 140 watts will.

I have heard someone else talk about underpowring a speaker will blow it. Help me understand that statement. When you listen at half volume isn’t that basically under powering it?

Never heard of underpowering a speaker blowing it. They might sound like crap because you aren't giving enough power to move the cone. I've heard underpowering an amp can be bad for the amp.
