Default Upgrade questions...

2011 Ultra, just put Rhinehart mufflers on it and can't here the tunes now.

I'm thinking of keeping the stock head unit, and adding the Stinger spx700 amp. $270
WDX Moto G2 in fairing. $320 pr.
Mmat 601cx in the rear pods. $118 each

Should I run all 4 Mmat ?
I thought I read that the WDX had better bass in the fairing ?

I'll be installing it myself, so any items that I should also buy ?

Thanks in advance, Phil

I personally would upgrade the head unit as it is the heart of any good sounding setup. The amp is solid as are the speakers.

Extras you will need include an amp wire kit some RCA cables and the VTwin Audio tour pack adaptors.

That is a thought, what head units with interface with the handle bar controls ?

I bought a Kenwood receiver from Crutchfield. If you enter the year and model of your bike they will suggest which manufacturers and models of HU's that will fit your bike. Additionally, you will have the option of paying an extra $30 or so and getting a handlebar control model (and other accessories) that will work with your bike. I have had zero issues with it.

As long as the HU has steering wheel control capabilities, you can use it along with several different brands of handlebar control interfaces to retain thumb controls.
