Hi guys. Budget setup. 19 street glide special. Stock radio, boom speakers in fairing, Ken wood speakers in lowers, pn4.1000 amp setting is hpf, BT355. I changed some setting in my apple phone for the music app to see if that would help with a bunch of my songs playing lower sound then other songs. It did help but it also would cut my volume off on the songs that played loud, all 4 speakers would cut out. Not sure if the amp was going into protect mode. I would turn volume down and sound came back on. Now I have blown 1 Ken wood speaker and 1 Harley boom speaker. Do I need to reset amp after making change to music settings in phone? Thanks for any advice.
First the boom speakers in the fairing wont handle the power coming from that amp. They are causing the amp to go into protection mode and shutting down at any volume. Second if those kenwood speakers blew then they werent meant to be there either. Spend a bit more $$ so you dont have too in the future like you are now. $200 will get you a set of Mmats pa601cx for the fairing and $150 will get you a set of hertz sv165 for the lowers and your setup will not only last but will rock as well

Thanks guys. I figured out that my phone Bluetooth was cutting out randomly not the amp. I have my gains set at 11 oclock. I set the music EQ to flat, volume limit off and sound check off. The kenwoods were free and the booms in there. I have some Rockvilles I will throw in there while I save some cash up for new speakers. In sturgis right now so have to deal with for a bit. Should I leave my bt355 at default since the amp has gains and crossovers?
