Music or underwear?
Wait till this afternoon. I'm sure there will questions and a few adult pops to talk it over. Look like the weather is currently past 10:00 pm

what system did this shop quote you for, specifically. specifically what amp, what speakers, what speaker placement ?
and MORE importantly, what is your end goal? Have a pretty specific goal in mind, and folks here can give you real good guidance on how to get there.

At this point, all I know is he planned on using an Arc Amp 600.4., Audio Dynamics speakers in upper fairing, lower fairing, and bags-6 total....he did not specify which
reputable members here have said these guys are very reliable, he seemed to know his stuff when I was in there, but I'm pretty green so not the best judge on who is and isn't experts
slowly though, as I cross reference what some are saying with what I'm learning, I'm starting to get a picture of what I want to do
I may hire it done and have the guys at Watts....my budget is about 2500
if I were to spend all of the 2500 or so on equipment and do it myself, I could have an uber better system...I may not be an audio expert, but I'm pretty left brained and technical....and not too humble to ask questions
the next step is to buy beer for Juice at Capone's tonight until he either passes out or passes all of his knowledge to me....j/k....seriously, hoping to see his and some other systems tonight
FYI, you can inside out your underwear and have an AMP too!
I have seen (never installed) the Boom 2 system in action. For the money, I would suggest building your own. Based on the riders around your area, go with what they suggest. The Stinger Amp (from what I am told from people on here, along with from the area where I live all like that amp "boom for the buck"....
If you are budget minded, for $1,000 you can have a really nice system and for the most part should be happy. If you are looking to compete and let your buddies riding behind you also listen to your music, then you may just go over $1,000.
No one is going to try to steer you in a direction that you don't want to go. You should sit down and think of your budget, along with how many speakers do you want, along with are you willing to give up some space in your lowers or bags or tour pack. Then listen to someones system, and start building your system.
Just a few letters for advice!
Keep the tunes cranked and the throttle twisted!!

I think he is hooked and may even tackle this himself. We got a chance to meet up last night and talk audio, there was not a whole lot of bikes there.

Installing a little confidence in one goes a long way. Goes even longer when the job is done and everything works and that person is ready to tackle the next job....
