Well are the Euphoria speakers from DB Drive? If so I will never buy another piece of DB Drive stuff ever. Between them and Ramko their distributor in Ohio I have a real bad taste in my mouth. I bought a set of Euphoria EPC6K speakers in the middle of July of last year and 1 of the tweeters got a hole in it from the aluminum being bent a little when brand new so when I was going down the road and the hole popped in there I called DB Drive and they said they had a 1 year warranty for user installation. I sent my speaker in and they got it July 2nd and I have been arguing with them for 6 weeks and barely got them to send the speaker back. It still works but I am afraid it will get some water inside the aluminum cone and of course they call it cosmetic damage which means that they think I poked a hole in it myself. So they refuse to replace it and they lost a customer from that right there. And I love those speakers and think they really sound good but their customer service is well below ****. And I hope everyone on HD Forums reads this and I hope they lose a ton of business over a tweeter that was still in warranty time wise but not according to those ********. Thanks for the idea but no thanks for any and all DB Drive. Would be like pissing more money away if something happens.

That's kind of my point brother. I have been a fan of the Euphoria sound quality for quite some time but the build quality and support is just not there. Does not even compare to the higher tier speaker manufacturers.

Now the sound is damn good but like I said, without the build quality aka longevity & reliability or support there is no way that supports this fantasy high end pricing tier.

$450-$500 is as far as I would go on the EX6NCD speakers. The rest of them EX, take 40% off the current MAP and u prob in a fair price range.

Sorry brother and sorry OP!! I think the hijack started when a shop started pushing speaker wares on a lids thread.

OP, to refresh this are u considering a coax 8 like the JL880 or Beyma 8CX300 or several other options OR are u committed to the woof and horn in separate holes. Some dudes don't like the look of the 2 holer but some do. Some don't want to jack w the voodoo mock-up and paint.
The voodoo points at the rider and many others like the SBD point up to 30 degree outward. Advan has a new line that is a 2 holer and a lot more budget friendly. Lots to consider.

Nail down ur speaker / system setup goals and the rest will fall into place. If ur a daily rider and want damn good sound with no concern about water, the JL880 is just a damn awesome all around speaker. If ur a fair weather rider, the options are endless for 8"s.

Well not really wanting coax at this point. Will check with local painter and see what it will cost for getting lids painted denim black. I ride as much as possible and do get wet on occasion.

T. just curious what 8's are you using with the Voodoo lids? Coax or not? If not what about horns? But say if a person did go with the JL 880 what kind of power is needed to power them? I like the idea of the lids pointing towards the rider and not away like some look like they are pointing away from the rider..

I know you asked T, but I'll toss my 2c in. I have the Voodoo lids with JL880'S. They are a coaxial speaker that thump pretty good. I'm currently giving them 170w and they do well, however I'm bumping that up to about 225 here shortly.

All shop prices vary, but I paid 300 to have my lids prepped, painted and he painted the grilles to match.

As a low maintenance riders setup, I don't think you can ask for more. They are a waterproof, full range, easy alternative.

I saw some lowers for the 880s. I cant imagine having those in lowers and lids. That would be insane loud.
