Default Upgrade or Changes to Current Setup

My current setup on my 2011 is as follows:

Alpine HD 149 Head unit, BT 4250, BT 7.1 in the fairing, Hertz sv 165 in the lowers, Hertz sv 165 in the tour pack with Junes Upholstery pods and hertz cpx 690 6x9's in the bags.

Overall I am pleased with the performance around town and on county roads. Interstate speeds running 80 at times I wish I had a little more volume. Would adding tweeters in the gauge pods be worthwhile, or are there better components I should look into that would give a noticeable upgrade? I feel like with my tuning I might be leaving a little bit on the table as this is the first motorcycle I have ever attempted to tune. If there is anyone around the Omaha, NE area who wants a lunch or a case of beer to tune a system, I would take you up on it.

Thanks
Alex

**Deleted, I thought you were running a 4180..

The 7.1 are a week spot in your system.

How is everything wired.

Have you thought about adding a DSP to be able to better tune your system?

DSP isn't going to help when your running 4 sets of speakers on 1 4ch amp. Especially when 6x9's are paralleled with 6.5's.
OP I think the addition of another amp would help you tremendously. I'd also consider ditching the 7.1's in the fairing.

Yeah that ☝🏿 Another amp for sure before you try and head down the dsp track.

I haven't thought about running a dsp, mostly because I am not overly confident on how to use one.

I have always felt like the 7.1 speakers in the fairing were not keeping up with everything else. The rear of the bike has always seemed louder and more clear compared to the front. Is there a different set of speakers you would recommend to swap into the fairing instead? I would not be opposed at all to swapping in a better set of fairing speakers. Would a second amp have to be installed in the tour pak or bags? If so, that wouldn't be an option as I need all the space I can get for transporting gear to and from work. The only way for me to be able to ride to work requires I have a lot of space.

I believe wiring is in parallel, but would have to pull the fairing as I honestly don't remember as its been over a year since I installed everything and I still consider myself a rookie when it comes to audio.

You could easily add a micro 4ch amp(or 2) under the hood with your current setup.

Would I be better off changing out the bt 7.1 speakers before adding another amp?

I would add the NVX-VADM and bridge it to the 6x9's before I did anything else. 6x9's should never be paralleled with a 6.5" speaker.

I see there are a few different models, I assume you would recommend the VADM1? https://www.nvx.com/vadm1/

If I added that to power the 6x9's, what would be the best way to wire them? I would also be curious what would be recommended for a fairing speaker upgrade, as that would easy to do and a good additional winter project.
