Can't figure who's @ fault. Me or this forum. After I bought this bike in 15, I started reading this forum on the, then, "new rushmore" audio. I thought it sounded great! Then I wanted a "little" more. So I added a good pair of speakers and an amp. WOW! Life is good!
A couple weeks ago, I sat on a friends bike with 4 speakers and MORE POWER!! I wish I hadn't done that! So I bought lowers for the 2nd set of speakers, and of course, a SMD crossover calibrator. After all, if you're going to do it, do it right. Right?
HERE'S my new problem. To use the calibrator, it needs to be able to read/ hear a test tone that is on a CD. I don't have a CD player on the bike.
HERE'S the Questions. "Will I be able to down load the test tones on a flash drive and some how play it through the radio?" "Any other methods I can use"?
I keep finding new ways to frustrate myself ! I forget who said it best, somewhere in this forum, "This shix is like CRACK"
Sometimes I wish I were tone deaf !
It was Tailwind that said this shix is like crack.
Yes, you can download the test tone onto a thumb drive and play it through the head units USB port, in the media cubbyhole.
T was right....although crack is harmful to lots of aspects of your life, audio addiction only hurts your wallet.
That is absolutely correct. Tailwind is the cause for most of all of the regulars here to upgrade. Its all his fault and that's my story. I will add that motorcycle audio addiction can be harmful to your health when your wife finds out what you spent on it. JS... .

There is a audio sticky at the top of the page called setting gains, by slydog, at the bottom of that there is a link to testones that you can download.
I personally blame you for all MY upgrades including my hu, amps, 10's, tour pack, and anything else on MY bike. Tailwind gets blame for all the others out there. BTW my 8 lowers are your fault too. I just haven't blamed you yet. Dammit... ..

That is how you get bit! If you do not want to get bit by the audio bug, avoid Sound Shows and Forum meet and greets. How are the MmatsCX sounding?
