The main issue is intermittent shutting off of the dsp and rebooting. I believe I can fix the full volume issue by disabling Bluetooth.
Can you verify that the light goes out on the DSP? and subsequently the amp power light goes out too?
Alot of folks are running the DSI myself included and never had any issues. not, saying it can't happen but the odds are stacked that it is something else.
Do the new Boom GTS need a resistor inline with the speaker output wires since you are running speaker level input verse a BT355?

I can't verify the light goes out. I was under the impression that a line leveler/resistor isn't needed with the dsp.
