I just installed a H D module to be able to keep my running lamps on when my high beams are on and now I'm having issues with my stereo.
My problem is that the volume on the radio shuts down completely .
I can see the volume bars on the screen when I increase or decrease the volume but no sound comes out of the speakers .
Then if I unplug the smaller plug behind the radio and plug it back in I get sound for a little bit , but it stops working after turning the bike on and off a few times.
Anybody have any Ideas on how to fix this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated .

What kind of bike is it? Inside that harness is the speaker selection switch wiring if you have an Ultra or Limited.

If you have one of those bikes, try removing the harness to see if the problem goes away. If it does, there is something wrong with the harness regarding the speaker selection switch.

 

you sure this isn't just coincidence?

you haven't told us anything about your bike or the audio equipment.

What bike please?
what head unit please?
any amps in the system?
have you unplugged the HD module to verify everything still works without it?

 

I have one also and its not creating any problems.
