I have a buddy with the Hog-tune 6x9 lids and has broken them 3-4 times. They are not as good as they were in the pre-rushmore bikes. They did a no charge swap the first 2 times now they want money for the inferior grill and mount.

So far mine have been okay. Pre Rushmore. Did have to drill through to secure bigger speaker. As factory self tapping screws pulled out. At least speaker just fell into bag.
I bought because of price (Canadian dollar) by the time painted.

Anyone use the Bad Dad lids? I’m gonna replace my Hogtune lids and like the looks of the Bad Dad. Just haven’t seen anybody mention them.

BadDad stuff is nice, and you pay for it too. Just stay with the bigger names, some of the Ebay crap is not very good and will cost more for body work and prep than the part cost.

I have a set of BadDad lids on mine - can't say a bad word about them - fit was perfect, finish required lil prep before paint, have held up perfectly

I've had the same experience with the HT lids. Maybe they work well with HT speakers, but as far as aftermarket speakers go HT could give a few more important tips. Like making sure that the screws are going to work with the speaker you select. I ended up buying longer screws because the flange on the 6x9s I used is thicker than the HT screws could handle.

I have 2014 HT Lids..
I was looking forward to install/purchase either Blam 6x9 or the HH25 from AHB but I would need to make some hard core modifications to install.. moving forward I’m going to use my HERTZ HCX 690’s hopefully I can install them also keeping my fingers crossed that they will be loud enough..I have 4 8’s razor woofer in bags.. I have a Roadking 99.. I Have micro 4v2 for 6.5 cans on crash bars 6x9 for lids and micro 82u for razor woofer plus a dsr1 hopefully it will sound good
kinda bummed I couldn’t install HH25 or Blam
