Default Bluetooth connection issue

I have the Boom 6.5 GT and anytime I was near my bike using FaceTime on my iPhone there was no audio. Last night, I was FaceTiming and turned on my bike and after a couple minutes, the speakers started popping and cracking really loud and I could hear the conversation. What’s even more weird is, I turned the accessory switch, shutting off radio power and the popping and conversation was still coming thru the speakers and the backlights on the radio buttons were lit. I had to hang up my call to get it to disconnect. I called him back with the power to the radio in the OFF position and after a minute or so the radio lights came in and the conversation was playing thru the speakers along with loud popping noises.

If your phone has bluetooth on, and you turn the bike on, it will connect and take over the call.

If your phone is bluetooth connected to the bike and rings, then you shut the key off, it will stay connected during the call. Whether the key is on or off it will keep the bike in accessory mode. It will do this until the call is over.

If you initiate a call while the key is on and then shut the key off, it will stay connected through the bike and hold the bike in accessory mode.

The only way to disconnect at that point is to turn bluetooth off on your phone.

Dependent on how quickly the call was initiated after shutting off the ignition, that is correct. In my experience, if you wait to make or answer a call until the security system sets fully, it will stay disconnected.
