So I'd like to get an Android auto hu for my 12 Rg. Is there any options for the single din? Preferably something a little more tolerable to wet conditions. What about an option to put a double din unit in the fairing? Maybe a hu with the pop out screen? Possible inner fairng swap to get the double din opening. Te easiest route is alwsys preferred though, lol. Thanks in advance and I hope this hasn't been covered a bunch of times. If so, I apologize.
Isn't that for the street glide though? I don't recall seeing one for the Road Glide.
Yes it is. Sorry. There are other companies that make them though and I would call Metra also. Just do your homework. Others have reported poor fitment to outer fairing. There are also adapters that use your inner fairing that requires cutting and bonding.
Yeah, I'm worried about doing any cutting in the inner fairing. I have seen aftermarket whole inner fairings that are pretty reasonable and cheap enough to not worry too much about cutting, but then I have to worry about how well it fits to the outer, like you mentioned. That's why I'm wondering if there is a single din that has android auto.
It's simple enough to convert a RG fairing to a double din. Any decent shop can do it relatively easy, and also color match the inner fairing at the same time.
I was hoping to do most stuff myself to save some dinero, but modding the fairing might be above my pay grade, lol. I'll look around to different shops to do it.
