Default Speaker suggestions

I am hoping to do some updating to my bike this winter and one of the things I definitely want to do is upgrade my speakers a bit. I have a 2018 Ultra Limited Low and am mainly concerned with the speakers in the fairing.. I am on a budget so right now all I want to do is the speakers in the fairing then if not too crazy the passenger speakers as well. Does anyone have any suggestions for decent speakers with decent range? I really listen to all types of music but mainly riding its rock, country, or hip hop. Also, is it hard to change out the speakers?

most are going to recommend mmat pa 601 cx or the infinity kaapas.

Are you changing head unit or adding a amp?

I wasn’t planning on it but after looking around the forums and interwebs and seeing it may be possible to do both fairing speakers and an amp for >$200 I may do it. Keeping the head unit and was looking at the cv b52 amp, seems to be a popular choice and seems to get great reviews. And of course being cheap as I am I like the price lol

Don't forget that you'll need a Line Leveler from Biketronics to run any amp.

Nothing wrong with being frugal, but being cheap when it comes to audio on these bikes will only cost you more money in the long run.

Agreed. At a minimum, you're going to be into a fairing setup for around $400-$450 after a line leveler, amp, speakers, and wiring

I have a pair of Kappa's an a line leveler I'll be removing this winter, maybe replacing the amp too. I picked up a sony off here an it won't require the LL.

Ok, so the more I read and see the more I am getting interested in the details of things. I have watched a few videos on how to install the speakers but still need to see about the amp install. Anyways, now that I have seen what exactly a speaker pod is I am seriously considering adding some polyfil to the pod. I have done this on home speakers and it seemed to provide a bit cleaner and definitely more rounded sound. Does this apply to the fairing speakers as well?
