Are you guys using the stock speaker wiring for audio upgrades or running new? I am installing a Stinger 700x4 with 4 Mmats 601cx's in my Road Glide Ultra in fairing and tourpack. Using BTBOC harness. Just wondering if I should run new speaker wires or use existing. I notice SoundZ uses stock wiring so thats why I am asking. If new what gauge speaker wire for my setup?
Thanks for all the info on here. I am doing this combo from all the research I did on this site. I am just doing this for better sound at highway speed, no comps or anything just more enjoyment out of the system.

 

Doubtful that you will notice the difference over factory wire.

If you decide 16/2 OFC is what I would recommend.

 

I "always" run new. The stock was pushing what, 25-50 watts? And now you want to push 150-200. Some may disagree but it's what I do.

 

Stock will be fine.

 

Eh...why not run better speaker wire while you're at it? You're already running power and ground wires, so the tank and seat are already pulled along with the fairing. Its a cheap enough investment for quality wire.
