Boom Box GT 6.5 Died
Went for a ride yesterday, stopped to put on chaps and jacket, and when I cranked the bike my radio went blank. Wouldn't turn on at all, no music, navigation, just completely blank screen. Drove to dealer, and the front desk guy was unable to get it to come on, I have an extended warranty so the bike is still covered. Told me the tech would have to make the call but they would have to contact Harley and have them replace the unit. I was unable to leave the bike with them yesterday as I live about 60 miles from the dealer and I would have to arrange for someone to pick me up. Cranked the bike to leave and the radio starts playing like a brand new one. Dealer says if the tech can't get it to replicate the problem, there's nothing they can do. This is the third different problem I have had with this radio and I'm afraid after my warranty runs out, it's gonna be a problem. Anyone else have that happen to them? 2017 SGS.

The Tech shouldn't have to replicate anything. It's on record and was seen by folks at your dealership that it wasn't working. I'd hold their feet to the fire and make them replace my HU.

Mine did that last year at sturgis, cruising the hills and it just went dead. Screen went black nothing worked, about a hour later i hit the power button and everything worked..... never repeated itself again. 2018 SGS

That's what I'm worried about. Won't do it again until a week after warranty expires. Not to mention I've had two other issues with it,.Navigation muted and it's froze up while listening to music a couple of times.

Same stuff
Dealer said same ****. It completely went blank/off yesterday after I picked it up. Also, have a buzz when fuel pump starts (intermittent) Harley D cannot replicate, so SOL until its completely shot???? Thought I shot video for evidence, but photo instead 🤨

Original warranty has expired - should be up to the ESP. Have the dealer contact them.
