So I've been researching trying to do a budget system with your guys help. Here's what I've come up with and would like your opinions. Mind you, I am just looking for something a little better than stock and my budget is pretty minimal for reasons I can't say lol. Kids, who knew so I will add some links below and tell me what you guys think.

If it were me I would at least consider using the infinity kappa 62ix speakers over those particular Polks. If you go with the Kappas get the Cerwin Vega B54 also. That package works well together. You may have to use a spacer to get the kappa in the TP pods but it will be worth the effort.
I see you have multiple threads going. Babyboy made a good recommendation as well.

@ 175 I would grab that stinger! Mmats 601.4cx in the fairing and PRV's in the tour Pak. About the same money and a much better system. Out of all the amps mentioned the Stinger is the only one that wont kill your FM

Um the speakers alone would eat almost the entire budget.
At the Amazon price the Stinger amp may be a good buy. It's a little concerning to me at that price though they have been $270 for a long time, what happened.

Yes but most of us have gone cheap and in short order had the hood off replacing the budget speakers.

I agree with that, not so much budget but on
my 2010 I had I drank the kool aid and put J&M in
it with DD audio amp and never was happy with it, when I did my current bike I kept a budget but also realized expectations vs budget can be tough.
ask your self is good enough what you want? Just ok? Or holy crap!
