I just purchased a 2014 SGS and the previous owner upgraded the system. I took the fairing off tonight and saw that he installed a RF TM400X4AD. He also installed 6 speakers, 2 in the fairing, 2 in the lowers and 6x9 in the bags. The 6x9 are TMS69 and the other 4 are TM65. I am not sure how he has them wired but he did state that the rears were blown and I needed new. (I am going to double check that with a multimeter) That is fine but I am more concerned with 6 4ohm speakers hooked up to a 400 watt 4 channel amp. I did do some research on the amp and it can do 4 or 2 ohms but I didnt see a 6 speaker wire diagram. The other 4 speakers work great and are pretty loud. I did not have time to look how he wired it but has anybody ran 6 speakers off of this amp? If so how did you have them wired?
I am just doing research now. I have the bike torn apart because I am getting all of the engine chrome powder coated.
the amp works just fine in the configuration you described. the fronts are paralleled to gie a 2 ohm load to the amp, most likely on the front half and the amp is stable in that setup at 2 ohms, no problem. the bag speaers are probably on the rear half and again no issue, you might think about trying to get yourself a pair of Mmats PA690.4cx speakers to replace the blown RF units. the will be a little modification work to be done, but they are a much better choice and they can come weather treated from the factory.

thank you for the reply. I did figure that was the set up because he had it int he 2 channel position. I know for a fact he didnt install it because when I asked him was it hard to install he looked at me funny and said I didnt install anything. He put over 9k into this bike. It is crazy. And I have it torn apart. Lol. Got to love it.

to have all of the speakers playing as mentioned it's probably wired above it should be in 4 channel mode I would think. Is there any sound going to the 6x9's?

From what i read the switch is in 2channel. Also, i dont think the gain settings are right. Once i get the bike together i am going to trouble shoot it. Just dont want to slap speakers in there and they blow again because the wiring is wrong.
