Default Looking for 8's

Looking for some 8's to put in my bags that I can run of 3/4 of my Hertz HDP 4. Leaning toward PRV 8MR600X 8 ohm. Is there someone here that sells them or a sponsor? I'd rather give my money to someone from this forum than a random seller on the internet.

If it were me I would lean a little more towards the 8MB700FT for inside the bags if you have supporting mids and highs in the rear stage.

https://prvaudio.com/products/8mb700ft-ndy-4/ These are available in 4 and 8 ohm

I have PA690.4 in the lids. I'd be splitting 500w of 3/4 bridged on the Herts HDP 4. Would that be enough power for the 8mb700?

Those speakers will take a lot of power. The 250 you'd be sending each speaker would be just enuff to **** you off. Those watts won't even get close to those speakers potential.

That's what I thought. Would the 250w be enough for the 8MR600X? Hoping I can find something that will work with the amp I have.

The 6x9's you have in your lids are not going to pair well with 8's in the bags.

Are you looking for midrange or midbass? Two totally different speakers. I’ve heard the 700 with only 200w and they sounded damn good. Hell my 600 have 250 each and they hit hard. If your looking for midbass I would go with the 700 see how they sound with 250 if you likey you can always upgrade the amp. Just because they will take more watts doesn’t mean you need to send them that many.

I've seen the video of you 8's. They sound good. Not looking for a ton of thump. Just looking for a little more low end that the 6x9's are giving me . Which isn't bad. Really wasn't expecting as much as they are giving me.

Is there a DSP in play??

If you are keeping the 6x9 in play and adding 8s to the bags I would suggest putting a baffle on the 6x9 to seperate the air space.

If and when I do add my pennies worth the thoughts into a thread I will not recommend a piece of equipment that I have not personally ran on my bike, tested and or have heard.
Our ears are subjective and hear tones/frequencies differently.

So my suggestions are suggestions. BTW Those 8MB700FT have good volume and a dam good thump with 200-400 watts going to them.
