Default System upgrade

Yesterday was the first ride of the season here in NY, which of course means that I got the itch to spend some money on upgrades I don’t need

My current setup:

sony xav5000

Kicker 44KSS6504 in the fairing and the lowers
(125 watts at 4 ohms)

2 kicker pxa 300.4, each is bridged to 150x2 with one powering fairing and one powering lowers.

new setup

Sony xav7000 from fathead cycles is on the way
im waiting for delivery on an arc moto600.4 from another member.

here is my dilemma:

I only this morning found out about the Rockford fosgate saddle big retrofit kit. Was first totally against it but after watching the video it seems fairly straightforward and I’m thinking I’m going to pull the trigger

the issue is how I would power them.

should I use the moto600 to power the front 4, and keep one of the kickers to power the rear? I’d like to keep all amplifiers in the fairing so I only need To run speaker wires to the rear.

Could I wire the fairing speakers in parallel to create a 2ohm load, do the same with the lowers, and use two channels for that, and then use the remaining two channels for the 6x9s?

If I went with the two amp setup it is fair to say that 900 watts total would be louder/clearer then 600?

appreciate the feedback guys, I’ve been installing tweaking my personal car/motorcycle stereos since I got my first car so I’m fairly competent in it. Just want to make sure the Harley is done the best way.

Yesterday’s ride straight to the car wash

Should have mentioned, if I can find he room for both amps in the fairing I will definitely do that. Just concerned about space. Looking like everything I have should be here by the weekend so hopefully it will all go in saturday

You have so much room in that fairing. No worries there.

i have 4 crossovers in there for the components. Been awhile since I had it apart but I think it should be ok. I’d rather use both amps so everything is properly powered. I already have distribution blocks for power and ground so I’ll just have to remove the old and put in the new.

Hoping this system sounds as good in person as it does I’m my head or I’ll be very disappointed. 😂😂

I don’t see where you’re upgrading to make it sound better other than the addition of lids? What am I missing?

currently have 2 300 watt kicker amps powering 4 6.5s.

Going to be adding an arc moto600.4 to power the 4 6.5s, while keeping one of the kicker amps to power the addition 6x9s in the lids. So 600 watts and 4 6.5s to 900watts +Two 6x9s

sorry if I wasn’t clear

What I meant is that the front are the same speakers getting the same power. You are just adding lids and the power to feed them. I hate to be negative, but don’t expect a huge difference.

an extra 300 watts and 2 more speakers won’t be a huge difference? That’s a genuine question. I’d expect more bass with the 6x9s and definitely louder no?

i think it will be noticeable parked but will fade quick when moving. Physics is against the lids and you have twice the volume in front. Wire it so you can fade to the rear to balance it out better.

im planning on using the front channel rcas for the 6.5s and the rear channel for the 6x9s
