speaker upgrade
Looking to up grade my stock speakers I'm not going to run an amp at this time. So my question is it worth doing or I'm I throwing money to the wind. Looking at Focal PWA165-HD1 .Rockford Fosgate TMS6RG . HogTunes Generation 3 . Bike in question is 2012 Road Glide with a Aquatic Radio AQ-MP-5BT-H .

Look at it this way, I assume you are looking to upgrade your speakers because it is not loud enough while riding. If that is the case swapping out your speakers is not going to make a difference. Sure it'll sound better perhaps sitting still but power is the issue. Going with just speakers you'll need something that's 2 ohm and they'll be hard to come by then when you decide you want an amp there's a good chance that the speakers wont play nice with whatever amp you chose. Do it once.

Just my .02 Without an amp your wasting time and money, as Boosted said, what u buy now most likely won't work well when u get an amp. I would pass on the Hogtunes stuff... U can pick up a Stinger amp for about $175!
