Tempesta Speakers?

Was reading an old thread where these were brought up by some screen names I recognize... Current day they seem to no longer merit a mention. Got me wondering about a set of TPTMB8SLIM 8" 4 ohm to try in my DBC lowers about $65 a set? What's the story?

I was impressed with them as long as you have a DSP or crossover to tune them. Good thing is they are cheap enough to try to see if you like them. I had a set of the 6.5's in a fairing with some DB tweeters and run through a DB crossover, and I was very impressed with that combo, impressive midbass for a 6.5 and loud. I wanted to do a extreme budget build using nothing but Timpano's but I haven't got around to it yet. I still have the 6.5's 8's and 10's here.

Interesting. I ran the 6.5's in my lowers and felt that they were significantly lacking in depth. I didn't have a DSP at the time, so was just tuning using the head unit.
