So, I've gotten all the equipment installed and wiring is mostly done for my new setup (Dual Stingers, Dayton DSP, Beyma 6.5's and tweets, Faital 6.5's in lowers, etc). The depth of sound is just phenomenal and blows away my old setup. Anyway, I'm still messing around with the tuning (and probably will for a long time since I can't leave stuff alone) but I can't close up the fairing because I need the USB connector in order to tune the Dayton. I started thinking about removing my cigarette lighter housing and buying a new socket from Amazon that I could use to store and pull through the USB cable for tuning. Does anyone have any suggestions or do you just open up your fairing each time? Oh and here's a few pics during install but looks like I didn't take any "after" pics. BTW, I bought those CVO covers for my lowers from Outkast and they look FANTASTIC!
Thanks Juice. Yeah, something like that might work, but I'd have to hack together some cable ends to make it work. I know that the DSP is too close to the front fairing, so the Dayton bluetooth module won't fit. I was also thinking that I might be able to get a micro bluetooth USB working, but then recalled all the disconnect issues with my RF DSP so that's not really an option.
Also, I do have a windshield bag, so that's an interesting idea. I'm hoping not to have to drill in the inner fairing which is why the cigarette lighter was an appealing first option.
Run the USB cable along the main harness with the plug by the down tube of the frame. Seal off the USB plug with a cap. No cutting or drilling needed along with easy access.

Sometimes the best idea is the simplest. Thanks brother!
I did sort of what BabyBoy did. I ran mine down the neck just an inch or so. It is still up behind the fairing. I got a weatherproof rubber cap to keep over it. I then got a 15' Gator armored USB cable to run from my PC to the bike. I use that cable for programming the ECU as well.
I am assuming you cannot use the Dayton USB bluetooth dongle due to the length causing it to protrude too far. You could alternatively use a short USB extension cable and just lay the bluetooth dongle anywhere inside the fairing.
