Yes, this is a fantastic idea and exactly what I was thinking. Thanks brother!

Interesting. So swap the place for the batter voltage and fuel meters for the tweets? I'm definitely up for considering that. When I open the fairing back up this weekend, I'll give it a shot and see how it sounds. Thanks for the advice!

Yes sir. I had a BUNCH of disconnects with my RF DSR1, so I'm concerned that I'll have similar issues with bluetooth. Are you using it and how has it worked out?

I have the Dayton, and the Bluetooth. Zero issues.

I have not personally used the Dayton Bluetooth yet but plan to. I know several who have used it successfully. The bulkhead connector option is also a great idea, providing a direct connection to the source.

The Dayton Bluetooth dongle works great, I've had no issues with it. Probably cheaper than all of the other solutions you're looking into as well. Using a USB extension may not work though. Tried one on an install with my buddies DSR and it would not recognize the dongle.

This is what I just did, although it's to keep a connection to the xav-ax5000 2nd usb port, which is used for firmware updates. It may work for your needs. $10 on Amazon.

Thanks, everyone! I think I'll give the bulkhead USB connector a shot and go from there. I'm already going to have to pull the outer fairing again to re-run some wiring and chase down what I think is a floating/bad ground, so I'll put this in at the same time. My new system sounds FANTASTIC and I'm extremely grateful for the folks who have shared their ear, advice and expertise. Adenton, Tailwind, Outkast, gerby and several others on this forum. Hell, you can see it in this very thread! So, thank YOU for chiming in and making this forum an excellent resource and willingly sharing your experience with me.
