looks like I blew one. I'm running 2 of these off a SD 250.2 on their own channel with the bass blockers installed. I had the gains set ~11:00.
any idea how it blew as they are rated at 250 max.
I need to know why it blew before I move up to more expensive horns.
any insight would be great. also, is there a repair kit I can purchase to rebuild it.
thanks
Don't care what the manufacture says. No bullet can handle 100+ watts of power.
Too much power...you blew the diaphragm.
thanks for the reply. yes..the diaphragm is definitely blown as i have disassembled it. so..how do I verify how many watts I'm sending to them. I still have one working..for now.
Check the amp output with a meter to see how many watts you are feeding them. 11:00 means nothing. It all depends on input voltage and output wattage. Without metering you are pissing up a rope.
