Default DSP mounting location on ‘15 RGS

I’ve hooked up my Dayton DSP 408. Trying to figure out where best mounting location will be? My amp is under the head unit on the shelf that BT gives you with the amp. Ideas and pictures would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

darn, no suggestions? I'll mess with it today, figuring out where there's room between inside of fairing and places I guess.

If your amp is under the HU, the top of the headlight should work for the DSP

I mounted mine on top of the headlight on the clutch side - had to cut down the tab on that side to allow room for the cables to exit the front of the unit, which then allowed them to line up perfectly with the front bullnose of the outer fairing. Any higher or lower, and the front fairing would hit the cables. Drilled a hole in what was left of the tab and secured the dsp with a zip tie that, then drilled a hole through the speaker molex holder and used SST bailing wire to tie down the opposite side of the DSP using one of the supplied "L" brackets. No rattling around of the DSP!

This is probably the biggest difference, but I also bought a 90 deg angle printer cable to run from the back of the DSP to my clutch side glove compartment so that I always have access to tune the DSP rather than going through bluetooth, which I understand doesn't work all that great anyway. But that pushed my DSP forward toward the outer fairing. You may not need to cut the tab if you don't run the printer cable to the back of the unit. I'll try to post pics if you need them.

If pictures aren't too much trouble I'd appreciate it. The printer cable is a good idea, I've been trying to figure out where to mount it based on the length of the cable that came with it.

Not sure what tab you cut into? Do you still have your speaker pods? If I go on top of headlight, the RCA's hit the amp.
