Default Washing bike?

I have 2 6.5's in the fairing, 2 6x9's in the lids, and 2 8's in the bags. They all have been spray with Camp Dry. When washing the bike I try not to spray directly on any of the speakers or HU. I always feel like I'm not getting the bike clean because I'm avoiding the areas with audio stuff. Am I paranoid or is it ok to get a little more aggressive with the water?

I have never had issues washing mine without any treatment but I only have fairing speakers. My neighbor has horns and hertz in his bags and it's rained enough to have water in the bags and his stuff still works fine

On your application the only thing o would worry about is the 6x9lids as water will pool in them. The fairing and bags will be alright as long as you don’t soak them.

Just to build on this thread, When you use the Camp Dry spray does it need to be refreshed every so often? 6 months, every year, etc..?

That depends on how wet your speakers get.

hey bud, when I wash my bike, I take care not jet water into my speakers, but some water does get in my speakers, i have both upper fairing speakers and rear bag speakers

while I don't worry, I am careful

I usually wash my bike by first wetting it, then spraying it down with s-100, then rinsing it....I do not spray the speakers directly with water when i wet it down, I do not spray s-100 or any other kind of cleaner into the speakers, but a bit likely gets in them, i'm also careful not fill them up when I rinse them off

I set my bags on a stand when I wash them.... I do them by hand....hand wet them, hand wash, hand rinse....a bit of water gets in them but not much

when I'm done, my bag grills usually look a bit gray or whitened....I use a microfiber cloth wetted with some spray wax and it darkens em up and makes em look new

as well, If Im on the road and a real gully washer....ya know a big rain comes, I have breathable lid covers that have a draw string....i don't keep them on all the time, but if a bunch of rain comes at once, it keeps the speakers from filling up with water...can still listen to the system as well with them on....I would not keep these on all the time though, as they can actually trap moisture onto the lid of the bike, at least the ones I got can

If the paint is not to dirty you can use a waterless wash. Or you can use a rinse less wash. Lots of options. Never use a quick detailer to clean anything more then dust though. I hardly ever use a hose to wash any of our vehicles.
Ive gone through many bottles of both of these. Echo2 works really good on coated paint and leaves a little more pop behind.

Uber and Echo2 are basically the "Gold Standard" for that type of product. The cool thing about both of them, and most other high end products like them, is that they can be mixed for WW and Rinse less. It is a concentrate so you have options.
There are a few others you could put in the "Gold Standard" level. If you would ask detailers for a top 5, those 2 are in it.

As for Wizards products, never used them. With companies like CarPro, Sonax, Wolfgang, Menzerna, 3D, 22PLE, no reason for me to try anything they make.
I use WW and RW so much it needs to economical and work. I get that with Uber and Echo2
