I just picked up a new to me 11 fltruse. It has boom audio speakers in fairing, stock in lowers and boom in rear backrest from what i can tell so far. The amp is bolted under the tour pack bracket, so I cant even tell what kind until remove the tour pack. I know I want to remove the lowers and get a quick release for tour pack, so want to know how that is going to affect my audio moving forward with a newer updated amp and speakers.
Few years back I had infinity kappas in my batwing fairing and a rockford fosgate amp for 2 speaker setup. Im sure alot has changed since then and would appreciate any help in putting together a new amp and speaker system that can work well with just 2 fairing speakers and 4 or six when lowers and tour pack or on. Or at least just fairing and tour pack. Im thinking all the wiring should be already paid out just need to reroute amp wiring to fairing, add a bracket for amp, then add speakers.
On a road glide ultra fairing with boom audio in there now, do I need any special speaker brackets or grills? Am i missing anything? Appreciate any feedback to get me started in right direction. Gonna leave stock radio unit in place. TIA
