Looking to go from 6x9 to 8 inch lids. Stock HU with Beyma 6P200Nd in the fairing, Sd 800.4 and Sd 1200.4 for amps using a Dsr1.
Not sure what 8 I would go with, kinda partial to Beyma but not stuck them. I do ride in the rain when on long trips.
The lids are speed by design, anyone have any suggestions on what speaker would pair up well?
Im hoping to get more bass out of the 8s than the 6x9.
Ill be running a horn in the lid also.
If bass is what you're looking for look at the Hertz SV200L. Put em on the 1200.4 @ 500 watts per side. Be prepared to fix some rattles. They flat out pound!!!
Edit: make sure your grills allow for excursion.

Sounds like a option, any idea how the hold up to a little rain?
The only one I see that mentions weather proof is the SV 200 NEO 8.
Since I know the lids you have, take a look at the PRV 8MR500CF. Weather resistant already. You would have to grind the latch mechanism to fit it though.

Very good loud *** speaker but there's hardly any bass on that one.
