So I went for an amazing ride on Sunday but my stereo kept cutting out. I tried bluetooth on android and IOS, as well as Android Auto (still a Bluetooth connection) same problems came up. I thought maybe a lose wire, but when I tried FM it worked just fine, albeit with shitty reception. I figured a firmware upgrade would do the trick.
To my dismay, I realized that when I pulled into the garage with the stereo off, I killed the engine, but not the power ****. I came out in the morning it and was completely dead. I hooked up the battery tender and the damn thing started giving me errors, so figured the tender was either screwed up, or wouldn't charge from empty.
Anyway, I can try to jump it and see if it will work, then buy a new tender, or i can buy a new battery. Ill try the cheaper route first. I hate when I screw up and have nobody else to blame.
If the battery is more than 36 months old just cut to the chase and replace it.
Batteries & Bulbs will ship you a new one at half the price of a mc store battery
and it will last just as long.
Give that battery a good full on charge and then take it in for a full on test at a shop that has all the right equipment to do so (mainly a load test). I just brought this up recently in another thread, "Check the easy stuff first!"
