Wow Speakers came today,Went out since its a Warm fall day here in Upstate NY 75 deg.An popped the fairing off,Heated The pods up used a socket to roll some bulges in anmessed around a lttle pretty easy.Put some clips on my speaker wire for terminals,the Kappas used a screw.Installed Grills went on no problem.Tme to Turn them on Wow What a difference they blow the Kappas away.Glad one of those Kappas died an I changed to these Mmatts Cant believe the Difference.They sound good with my CV b52 amp.These Mmatts Whale pretty Good I am Happy!!Thanks to Teedoff for telling me about Heating up the pods
What would the difference be from mmats over Harley stock speakers on a boom 6.5gts system. Would it be a noticeable improvement in sound quality and volume? Or does it need an amp to power it?

Just a speaker swap is not worth the time or the effort without an amp installed. I'm sure not the answer you want but, it is the only answer.
Why? Stock speakers are 2 ohm, the head unit is use to pushing a 2 ohm speaker at a measly 20 watts if your lucky. Most aftermarket speakers are 4 ohm (more resistance) , so now your head unit might be pushing 10 watts to an aftermarket speaker.
