Sena SRL2 gremlins.
The problem is trying to pair the SRL2 with my iPhone BT, the bikes, BT, and the freewire all at the same time. I know it is a recipe for disaster and have realized the best thing to do is NOT to pair the headset with the phone and keep the phone paired to the bike, and the headset paired to the intercom VIA the freewire.
The system works in that configuration. The only issue I have is on phone calls you can hear your voice, all though muffled, in your headset and its pretty annoying.
Digging deeper into this...
the first headset I installed I paired all of it together...
Phone to bike
phone to headset
headset to freewire
free wire plugged into coms..
This setup was problematic from the start. I had the SRL2 go into "dumb mode" flashing a blue light and nothing would work. Couldn't get it back to pairing mode and it would not shut off. I sent my first unit back when it happened to it thinking I had a borked headset..
Second unit installed, same pairing setup and the same thing happened again a few rides down the road (it worked fine for a few days). The first time I let the system drain its battery completely, recharged it and it worked fine. The second time it did it a few days later, I opened up the SRL2 and unplugged the battery from the circuit board to "reset it". Yes I am aware that it has a factory reset button on it, but when it is in this state there is nothing that will correct it unless you run it all the way down or disconnect the power from it..
So it leads you to this... SRL2 paired to the free wire.... Phone paired to the bike.... adding the phone to the SRL2 (in my case at least) you are asking for problems...
The reason for this rambling long *** post... I looked all over trying to find a solution to this and there really was not much out there on it.. I figure If I post my experiences, it might help someone down the road..
