Default DSP-408 question

Going to be wiring this thing up soon and have some questions.
1) Is there a benefit to using a LOC vs. speaker level inputs?
2) I have the 8/2 flash. Do I need to use both the front and rear signals or can I just use the fronts?

Thanks fellas!

Todd I don't know anything about Rushmore stuff but I would hate to do without fader control. If you just use the front you wouldn't be able to fade with your thumb. I would think that if you used the front and rear outputs you could retain fade control.

Hopefully a Rushmore guru can help you with the output level question.

Todd most use low level inputs because they have that option with an aftermarket HU. Personally I don't think you'll notice a difference between the 2. You can use both front and rear inputs but I have personally never used anything other than the front. After tuning the system to my liking I've never felt like I needed to have the fader involved.

fade won’t work with a 8/2 flash.

That's what I thought as well for the 8/2 flash. I went out and checked and the fader function is there and the slider moves on my stock HU with that flash. I dont have rear speakers, but wondering why the slider "works" or is even enabled with this flash.

I checked mine and the fade option comes up but it doesn't slide. I knew this when I had the flash done so don't know why I even asked about the rear outputs. I suppose I could hook them up incase I decide to change my flash for the fade option.
