Default Speakers recommendation

I’m looking for it to sound good at riding speeds. I’ve watched a lot of videos and have read a lot on here. I’m debating on going with GZ 6.5 coax in fairing. I have a set of Mmats pa601cx to go in tour pod. And in the future plan on adding Rockford speaker lid kit. What would I need amp wise to run this. Right now I have a JL M500/4. Appreciate the help

My plan is to put some good mid bass speakers in the bag lids. Also would I be better if putting the GZ coax in the tour pod instead of the Mmat?

dont think the gzs will fit in the tour pak pods. You need to go with hertz or something similar if u dont want to leave the mmats

The GZ’s will be a nice addition to the upper fairing, they won’t fit in the tourpods without having a helluva spacer that will look Fugly!!! I have the MMats pa601cx’s in my tourpods with 1/2” spacers and a heat gun. Otherwise you will need the VTwin adapters which are $100 to plug and play them. (Wasn’t worth $100 in plastic 3/4” adapters to me)

Take your time and heat the pods to mold the plastic hump down with either something metal or force speaker after each heating of the pod.

As far as speaker lids, look around unless you are set on RF kit. I wanted my 6x9’s in my lids to look as close to the RF kit as possible but reveal my entire 6x9 not just the 5x7 cut out with 6x9 adapter. So I went with Hogtunes RM-Lids. (Do have to get them painted to match but cost was less than $100).

I have heard the RF kit too and it still sounded nice, but just preference on which to choose.

2- SD EvoX 800.4 amps (upper/lower/Tourpods/available) & NVX VAD2 (lids amp) are what I went with so far. PM for pics of any of what I used.

SD amps are like gold around here, but not a cheap option. The 2 channel NVX amp is a beast so far and highly overlooked IMO only. Lol. Others will chime in too to give other options!!

Cerwin Vega PH694's. The version that's like the Diamond Audio version MP654. Diamond Audio bought out Cerwin Vega and they made a similar speaker version.

https://cerwinvegamobile.com/product...peakers/ph694/

I have a video of them and the 6.5 version too.
