Default DSP Help

I've been doing a lot of reading because I don't want to come across as an idiot. But if the shoe fits.

Here is what I have:
Boom 6.5GT. 8/2 flash.
Dayton DSP-408
Stinger 700/4 powering (2) Mmats PA601cx in the fairing (2) in the lowers.
NVX VADM4 bridged to (2) Diamond Audio MS69CX in the lids.

Installing the dsp today. I'm going to assume each speaker gets its own channel. So I'd be using 6 of the 8 outputs. I understand the frequency range of each speaker and high pass and low pass filters. From there I'm at a loss. I want to make sure im hooking it up correctly and have a starting point with the DSP-408 settings. I will find a tuner in the spring to dial it in. Thanks.

Once you get the DSP installed you will have to reset all the amp gains for starters.
It may take a bit to find a happy medium with the master gain on the DSP because of potential floor noise. Every time you move the master gain you will have to recheck and reset the amp gains.

I understand the floor noise you speak of. I only get it through the NVX amp powering my lids. I do not get any through my Stinger. I also notice when setting the gains on the NVX that I cannot achieve the desired voltage when setting the gains. These amps are supposed to be underrated with their advertised power output. I should be able to get 200 watts (bridged) which would equate to around 28 VAC. With the gains turned up all the way I can only get to 22.6. When adjusting I have the HU volume at 3/4, amp at full pass using a 1khz test tone. The bike is not running but I have the battery on a adjustable output charger where I can achieve 14.3 volts DC. I think its safe to say that this is why I'm not happy with the Diamond Audio's in my lids. They are under powered.

I too have had to come to a happy medium with floor noise on my 6x9s. If I set them up with low floor noise they just don't get loud enough. You can really hear the noise when you turn the bike on but once it's cranked you don't notice it.

If you are giving a solid 200 watts to those Diamonds which according to their website are rated for 125W RMS I'd say say do like others have said and play around with the gains a little bit. I get good sound out of my 6x9s with 200 watts going to them but I must confess I have tour pak speakers helping them out.
