I have a set of these coaxial w sd 800x4 amp as well. I plan on bridging the amp as well as numerous have stated to run them this way.
I'm curious as to what/where you have your low pass high pass and gain at at. I was told to play around w it but the sweet spot for factory gt (2017) hu w this setup is high pass around 80hrtz and gain at around 9/10 clock.
Fromy readings keeping the gain low will keep the amp from being able to use the full 400 watts

Running it bridged like that...are you using a DSP as well? Do you know how many watts you're sending them other than the gains are set at 9/10 o'clock?

No not running a dsp for two speakers. I plan on using the voltmeter method to match the input/output. I'm just looking for suggestions before I start to tune the amp. Hasnt even been powered up yet
From my calculations I need to set the gain to match 56.56 volts when hooking up my leads to amps output while playing test cd at 1000hrtz.

ummm setting it at that voltage you may as well order another set of speakers.
Yes I was wrong. I needed to take the bridged rms x the 4 ohm speaker. Rms bridged is 400watts x 4 ohms is 1600 and sq root of 1600 is 40.
I know Carlos from nvs garage bagger 77 customs lay n low jefe and others all said dont nees dsp. All also said to run the amp bridged and to set amp where I stated and it would be damn close. Nvs pushed a legit 400 all day long not a hiccup. Thanks for the comments

Brother you can take their comments and run with them if you choose but I'm here to tell you, if you run 400 watts to those speakers, without a DSP you will blow them to hell quick fast and in a hurry!!!! Without a DSP in the mix I would push no more than 250 watts per speaker. This is coming from someone that's not selling you jackshit and has nothing to gain. Carlos knows his **** but he's gonna get a lot of folks in deep water that think they can emulate what he does in his videos. You cannot run that much power to them without a DSP. Period.

Exactly. Not many 6.5" speaker period that can handle 400 watts without a dsp.
