Default Stinger tuning

Hello All, please review...

2020 RGS
8/2 flash
Stinger 400x1 amp 6.5 MMats in fairing Rockford 6x9 kit in saddlebag lids loaded with 6x9 MMats Stinger wiring kit
Rockford hi level to rca's for rca input
I've set the gains according to the sticky(22.4) with bass and treble set in center, and set the frequencies as follows: Frequency: 80hz = 23.3 x .501= 11.67

My dial settings are not what everyone is suggesting.

Volume is too harsh. When I bring my frequency to 9 oclock the mid bass kicks in and sounds decent. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to blow my speakers. My gains are at 10 oclock and frequency at 1 oclock. Also, when setting gains, should bass and treble be set in the center or far left to be "flat'
Thank You

First what volume did you have it at when you set your gains? If you set the gains at 3/4 volume then that is your max while riding. Next Set your bass/treble in the middle when tuning it. That way you will have the room to play with it on different songs on the fly. Next back the frequency on both front and rear down to around 10 oclock on the rear and around 1130 on the front. The lower you go with the frequency the more bass you will have. At 3/4 (max) volume play old town road and listen to when the bass kicks in. If it distorts then take your freq up until it doesnt distort. I suggest doing the front then the rear separately and then blend them together. Your gains look about right.

Remember that setting by a volt meter is a ballpark and final tune should be set be ear and every amp and speaker will be different so final tune should be by ear.

What is that frequency equation you're using?

Not sure what you are doing with your frequencies, doesn't make sense to me, there is no formula that I am aware of. You should be setting it at the low cuttoff of the speakers, typically 100hz. As for your gains, those are close, I would fine tune with a scope, dd-1 or even by ear. The sticky is a good starting point

Your freq looks pretty much the same as mine when I had this exact set up.

As others have eluded too, the gains need to be set up correctly. Those look way off from what I had.

Gain settings are relative to input signal (input voltage)

Thanx all.
I did play my volume at 3/4 with bass and treble set in the middle.

The formula used for to get frequency is to play 80hz tone. Get that voltage output from speaker outs and multiply by .501(12db slope). This should give voltage to set frequency at speaker outs. All this is using DMM.
Formula: frequency = 80hz(tone played) = 23.3(voltage output at speaker outs) x .501(12db slope = 11.67(target volts to set)

Can these hi to low rca affect my voltage input

You're going way above and beyond what is needed to set this up. Set your gains as you stated with a DMM at your target voltage, then dial the freq in by ear. Trying to set them with a DMM is pointless.
