Default Single 6x9 best location inside a saddlebag

Hi all,
What would be the best location inside the bag for a single 6x9, front of the bag or at the rear towards the end of the muffler, for sure in both locations it will be facing the wheel.

Thank you in advance.

You dont want lids? Not positive, but seems like 6x9's facing the wheel wouldnt give you enough volume to be worth losing the bag space.

I already have speakers in the lids, I have 2 options to choose from, either I go with the 8s inside the bsgs, or I go with the 6x9 inside which will let me be able to add lower fairing speakers as well (I have ch3 and ch4 of my SD800.4 evo (4 ohm) to use either for PRVs 8mb600ft bridged @ 4 ohm (200w each) or for a set of rockford 6x9 and a set of 6.5 together in parallel and stereo @ 2 ohm (100w each), all these speakers are sitting on the shelf.

Yes you will loose bag space i have 2 6x9's and 800x4 tramps in both saddle bags plus 1 horn tweeters in each bag this on my 09 UC .
I haven't compared whitch sounds better in the lids or facing the wheels mines sounds pretty dam good in the bags facing the wheels good lows and mid bass with no DSP .No competition system far from that.

My recommendation is to think long term. I have one 6 x 9 in each bag facing the wheel and no one believes it’s a 6 x 9 and I have to open my bag to prove it on a regular basis. That being said, I’m going to an eight in each bag simply because it will be better. My 02

Do you have any videos to show how they sound? I had 8s before inside the bags but I am trying to reduce the weight and have more space inside the bags, the the rockford 6x9 that I have are super light in weight and small in size, I am also trying to have enough mid bass without making my bags rattle, these are the reasons why I thought of replacing the 8s with the 6x9s.
The empty channels in my amp will power either setup just fine, stereo for the 6x9s or parallel bridged for the 8s, dsp will do its magic for any of the options.
