Seeing the comments here is why I do my own installs. I got burned on an alarm system in my 90 Aerostar years ago. Had it installed at a so called reputable certified shop. A few years later after the alarm started having problems. I dug into it to get it to last a little bit more until I was able to install my new one. Found that every single connection was just wrapped and taped. Even the starter kill. I yanked it all out left it unprotected for 3 days. after that I do everything myself on all my vehicles unless I know and trust someone and their work. For audio systems that would be maybe 5 people in the country. That was 25 yrs ago. :

I feel it is fair to mention that the folks at Watt's took care of the problem at no cost to me. It took them about 3 weeks to get the replacement speaker in but once it came in, the fella who runs the front desk put it in himself and had me back out the door in 15 minutes. Good guys...super busy.
