I had a hum issue after installing my new head unit and amps. Turned out to be a ground issue. I tied all grounds from head unit, amps, and DSP all together and that fixed it.

That makes sense. The #1 cause of noise in grounds is probably due to voltage differentials between the various components. Tying the grounds together (ensuring you're using the same ground) eliminates that. This is also why a crappy RCA interconnect often proves to be the issue. It also ties the chassis grounds together. To eliminate engine noise the manufacturer of the amp the OP on this thread uses recommends common grounding on pg 3 of this manual (in this case the noise is present with the motor off though).

Just for shitz n giggles, where was the common ground that you used for all of those components?
I had a ground issue on that new fangled toilet sprayer thingie my wife wanted. I heard screaming one morning and came running in. The thing went into hyperdrive or something and she had bidet water squirting out her ears.

I kept the ground from the amp at the battery but ran an extra ground wire from the radio and DSP to the ground connection at the back of the amp thus tying all grounds together.
