Default Spec a custom system?

I see in several threads where experts recommend a custom system instead of the usual RF, JM, etc. If there is a sticky somewhere of spec'd systems for various bikes, can someone point me to it? If there is not, I recommend there should be.

I have a "new to me" 2015 CVO Limited with stock 6.5 GT 4-speaker system. I'm okay with the stock head unit. I don't want to cut into my saddlebag lids. My budget is open-ish but I'm value conscious. I would spend 2 grand for something amazing but not more. I would be more comfortable in the 1000-1500 range. I'm comfortable with DIY installation but not up for cutting body panels.

Can you guys spec a system for me? TIA

There is no one size fits all system that would fit everyone's needs well enough to make a sticky. Technology changes in bike audio constantly and the needs of each bike owner facilitates different suggestions or needs based on the bike owners desired outcome and expectations.

Right now the go to speaker is the GZ 6.5spl paired with a decent amp to power them. The should have at least 200watts each and they will be loud and clear at at speed with a good amount of bass. Your tourpak pods will need something different, as the GZ's wont fit there. You could put some mmats 601cx in there, but maybe someone could suggest something different.

With an SD1200.4 amp, those two pairs of speakers you're looking at right around1200 bucks. Then 50 or so to flash the radio and a few misc parts and wiring kits still well under 1400.

Thank you teedoff. Which of the Ground Zero models, the GZCF 6.5SPL?

Do you have recommendations for the best pricing/source for that equipment? Yes, I can Google but just checking if you have a favorite source to buy from.

Sure do. Aggressive Audio is the best place. Great guy and even better customer service. He might have even better suggestions for you than what I've mentioned.

He's on FB. If you dont have FB shoot me a PM and I can get you his contact info.

I never got the email from Andy that he said he would send. I have texted him and reminded him already but still nothing. How much should I pursue him or just move on?
