Have a jvc headunit and a new to me iphone7. Synced via Bluetooth no problem but I cant get the phone to not ring through the stereo while listening to tunes. My old android didnt have this issue as it had a Bluetooth setting to choose audio and/or phone iPhone doesnt seem to have this option. Is there a setting within the head unit I am missing? I just want to hear my bike and my tunes....phone calls can wait till Im parked!
Go to your settings and hit DO NOT DISTURB. I have the same phone and even if you turn the ringer down, it will mute your music for the duration of the ring. You won't be interrupted by any alerts.

that didnt work either. Still ringing through. Going to unpair it and see if I can pair for audio only. In the Bluetooth settings it list phone as well as audio and currently the iPhone is listed for both.
Phone set to silent and do not disturb and still pauses music and rings thru stereo. Positive is my ringtones a Harley start up. Negative is the interruption is friggin annoying!
So ...I’m still struggling with this, and nothing suggested worked. But may be on to something. Within the settings of “do not disturb” you have options to let certain calls come thru. Like certain contacts etc. I’ve turned all that off and/or selected never. Haven’t tried it out yet because Mother Nature that cold hearted biotch decided winter wasn’t over and dropped snow and cold on us!! I will update asap for any other technologically stunted retiree that may be having similar issues.....or maybe it’s just me...!
