Does anyone know of a good reliable Audio Signal Generator App for the Android to use for test tones while tuning the frequencies on the amp?
Thanks
You know I tried one of those apps to see if it would help me set the HPF before I had a DSP. Strange thing is I could set a frequency and no matter what I set the HPF dial to I could still hear it. Sort of made me wonder if the thing was really working so I uninstalled it.
If you type in "frequency generator" into the Google Play Store search box a bunch of stuff comes up. Maybe one of them will do what you want.
The few times I tune by volt meter I just download the tones listed in the sticky for setting gains.
Best way is to just have a cheap USB drive with a few tones on it. Label it what track has what tone. In a pinch you can use YouTube but that's not the greatest way to get a pure tone.
Would anyone be willing to borrow or sell me a USB drive or CD with the 1000 hz/0 db and the 1000 hz/-5 db Test Tones on it?
I can't figure out for the life of me what exactly I'm supposed to download and actually how to go about it from DD1's site?.....................Sorry
I do however already have a 1000hz/0db test tone on a compact disk that I've used many times in the past for tuning?

If you already have a cd with the test tone on it and have a cd player on your bike, you should be good to go right?
The test tones are linked in the sticky if you dont already have them.

Yeah I do already have and have been using my 1000hz/0db test tone disc for all my other previous installs/tuning but I was told there is no marigin for error using that tone and that I should use the 1000hz/-5db tone to give me a safety net for the distortion levels I may not necessarily hear? So I would just like to be able to have the option to use either if need be........................A sticky here on the forum?
