funny, I just downloaded that app on the weekend as a buddy is thinking of buying one of their iOS mics. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Wonder how well it works, and how accurate it is with the iPhone mic alone.

REW (roomeqwizard.com) is a free program that runs on PC, Mac & Linux. It's very powerful and has lots of features, including an RTA. You can hook up a USB microphone with a calibration file (which basically flattens the microphone's input frequency curve), or you can just use the built-in mic on your laptop or whatever other microphone you can hook up to it, just be aware that the frequency response of the microphone will be part of your RTA curve (and this will of course be true with any iPhone or Android RTA app you use as well). MINIDSP sells UMIK-1 USB mics with calibration files for ~$80 that work well with REW. Looks like the iOS mics for Mobile Tools start at $229...
