Yeah, that’s what I was going to talk to him about. Testing is one thing, but what would be a good target for consistent playing. I’m not really a Rap, House, Techno guy, more Rock, Metal, etc. Not a lot of heavy bass to begin with there, so I don’t think 100-120 hz would be horrible, more interested in volume. But I do know we lose a lot of bottom on the bike while riding so want to keep as much as I can. I know when I switch to the Hertz in the lids it will help.

I'm right there with you in music choice. I will say that there is more lower frequencies than you think in that music.
Understood and I agree with you on that. What I meant was that the bottom end isn't necessarily the core or the basis of the songs most of the time. Those genres are mixed differently depending on what mood and spectrum is trying to be portrayed. You certainly want as much as possible, alot of great parts are played there.
I've found, Metallica's Devil's Dance is a good heavy rock type song that can sound good once gains and freqs are set properly. It has a pretty hard hitting bass line. At least to my ears. I'm mostly rock, hair metals and some classic R&B like al green and such. I have been playing around with my tuning using some rap and hip hop, just to get the best sound. Ice Cube's It Was a Good Day is one I've been using. Cant stand most of that music though. lol Just my opinion.....

Not my first choice in music either but when she is with me that is what we listen to, she needs to enjoy the ride too. I figure if I can get rap to sound decent then everything else will be good too.
Thx for the heads up on the MMats 601’s. I’m stopping by NVS today to pick up an amp I work down the road. , I was going to ask Carlos his thoughts on settings. I thought in his video he said he tested the 601’s at 80hz 400 watts and they took it no problem. I don’t plan on running them to that extreme but good to know. My first choice was GZ’s I know they play lower. I find out more later... Thx.
you're confused. Those are the the gz that will take 400 watts. No way those mmats take that kinda power.
