2019 streetglide special with the boom 2. Pulling it out and planning on 2 sd 400.4. One bridged to fairing one to 6x9 lids. Planning on the hertz 690 neo in lids. Since the gz's aren't available what would you guys recommend for the fairing? Need something that will play hip hop and rap well. That's what the boss lady listens to. Thanks
I would look around....so worth it. It took me a ton of looking before finding them. TDS shows they have them, thats who I found a pair with, someone just purchased a pair from NVS Audio. Also found some from a HD location mid west. Was speaking with Chris at Garage Bagger and he was out also
I hear ya ... I was going to try the same setup but GZ's n/a. I'm giving the MMats 601cx a shot,( similar price) in the fairing should have them tommorrow. From what I've heard and read they're clean and loud, play pretty low if tuned right ( 80-90 Hz ), and can handle alot of power. I'll be using 2 SD 800.4 when all is said and done. Starting small right now, 1 800.4 for the MMats in fairing and Polk DB571's in lids for now, then 1 800.4 for the Hertz 690's down the road when I switch out the lids. Also using an Arc Audio PSM for DSP. We'll see......
Those 601cx will not take a lot of power. Just a fair warning upfront and pushing them to their limits you'll be at 100hz or higher on your crossover.
About 175 watts is Max.
Those hertz 6x9 sx690 will get fn down. I run them w a 800x4 bridged and they bang. They are much louder clearer and have way more bass( bag acts like a box and they are getting 100x more air) than my gz up front. I can assure you that would can feel and hear the bass from them. Was blown away how great they are.
Seems like you're being impatient. I would bite the bullet do it once do it right and get the 1200x4 or two 800x4 w the hertz and gz.
I have heard quite a few setups and haven't heard a true 4 speaker setup 6.5/6x9 that's as loud clear w bass than the hertz gz combo. It's just plain fn works and will blow your expectations away.
That diamond mp654 is loud but that's about it. It's a pa speaker and plays no bass. I think it's at 110 hertz where the gz plays as low as 45 hertz. Night and day difference and you want that speaker to play every frequency well that it can being only 4 speakers. Best of luck
Call nvs audio I belive carlos is due to get another shipment next week. I'm just not sure if they all are accounted for already. His last order of 50 sets were all spoken for via pre orders
Thx for the heads up on the MMats 601s. Im stopping by NVS today to pick up an amp I work down the road. , I was going to ask Carlos his thoughts on settings. I thought in his video he said he tested the 601s at 80hz 400 watts and they took it no problem. I dont plan on running them to that extreme but good to know. My first choice was GZs I know they play lower. I find out more later... Thx.

he might be able to but those won't play well with that many watts for long.
