Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched for an answere but couldn’t find one. I have a 2011 ultra limited I wanna change the inner fairing to accept the larger stereo unit to be able to use my Apple play and stuff from my phone is it possible to change the inner fairing to a newer model or will I have to change the whole fairing? Again sorry for asking the question of it has already been asked I just could not find it.
Hey Bates have you ever seen one of those fairings in the wild? I always wanted to see the amplifier mounting options in those Metra double DIN fairings. I wonder if it would be possible to fit two amps in there somehow?
If someone ever comes out with an aftermarket double DIN head unit that is truly waterproof like the Boom Box I could see sales of that fairing taking off.

I have not Hoyt. I briefly considered it during my last build but was worried about fitment issues.
I'm currently installing the inner fairing from fairing factory: https://ffcycle.com/products/ff8151-...-fairing-96-13 Right now I'm working on painting it. With a Sony 7000 there is space under the head unit to install an amplifier. I will make a separate post when I figure out the color I'm going to paint the inner fairing.
To me it remained about the same.. The way the Sony was designed, it mounted high so the gauges above were up taller than stock, and the room was under. I ended up mounting the Stinger under and the dsp on the left. I was going to mount the second RF 400 next to the right speaker, but it was too big so i stuck it in the pac. I will look back and see if I can find a few pics
