$3500 installed to get the 6 speaker system replaced with the Carbon setup. $3500 is a good chunk of change. I've read a lot of reviews and this seems to be a very solid system all plug-n-play. This includes the DSP and HU Flash. 5x7's in the rear saddle bags. What's the consensus or experience with Soundz? Money well spent or you can do just as good or better for less money?
Soundz setups do sound good as a few of us got the chance to hear their stuff in Sturgis. I will tell you that for $3500 you can do a bunch better for the $$ if you are willing to install yourself.
Hey guys... Ya, I haven't done anything with the quote I got as I thought $3500 was steep for speakers, 1 amp, DSP... I'm fine with installing something myself, but I would rather it stay plug-n-play. I just don't want to splice into harnesses. I want to be able to put it back to stock if ever needed. (i.e. trade in the bike, sell it, etc..) Most of the systems I've looked into are from companies like Soundz for that reason. They keep everything plug-n-play. You guys know WAY more about all the options. Are there companies that make wire harnesses to piece together a nice system and still keep it all plug-n-play? I'd rather keep the rear saddle bag speakers 5x7s as well, so I don't have to get new lids and have them painted to fit 6x9's. I'm certainly open to options and would be cool with a budget say up to $2000?? ish...
As far as plug n play goes, you can add aftermarket audio without cutting a single wire from your stock system. I suggest getting your hu flashed to either a 8/2 flash or RF flash to start with. 1 or 2 sets of gz yellow basket coax for the fairing and lowers, SD 1200.4 amp for the fairing/lowers, a set of hertz sx690 neo's for the lids and a SD 400.4 for the lids or nvx vadm4 bridged for the lids, a dayton 408 dsp to tune it all. These are just suggestions as that will cost you less than the $3500 soundz wants and will in my opinion sound much better.
